This platform is first of a kind initiative in the world that enables digital adoption of TB patients to help achieve the goal of TB Free India. Zero TB Digital Platform is an MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly inspired innovative and creative approach to take care of TB patients where they are cared for through the use of technology. Adoption here means taking care of TB patients- the person adopting the patient telephonically counsels, monitors and helps in successful completion of six months DOTS medication course of the patient. Successful completion of medication course ensures cure of TB and saves the life of patient and prevents development of MDR TB. Zero TB Digital Platform is an IT based DOTS, ADR community monitoring, psychosocial counseling and nutritional upgradation platform based on the WHO End TB Strategy 2015 ICT. Due to lack of awareness, TB patients often discontinue medication after a few weeks when they experience relief from symptoms which most likely results in relapse of the disease and development of MDR/ XDR Tuberculosis. Zero TB Digital platform addresses this critical area of completion of DOTS medication course by the patient. Zero TB Digital Platform facilitates nutritional support to TB patients - persons adopting patients can send nutritious food like Gud, bhuna chana, laiyya (parmal), groundnuts etc to needy patients through the Zero TB Digital Platform. This Platform also conducts awareness talks at villages, schools, colleges, factories, hotels to create awareness about Tuberculosis to help identify patients and contain its spread.

The special features of the digital platform is that socially aware educated people take responsibility for caring TB patients in 1:1/2/3/4 ratio with no risk using Information & Communication Technology.
